Thanks for the shoutout! I'm glad you're so excited about this one. Maybe I'll be a believer someday.

P.S. Have you seen this? Hilarious, but kind of not-kid-friendly.

Well, you know I sure understand. For the readers, what a humble statement, when she says she's 'been under the weather.' Tough Chick. But you all sure do know how to have fun, when the time comes!! So glad you took photos along the way. I think we'll all be happy to take, your little 'trips back in time' posts. However and whenever they come. XO

Nightshade sensitives should also avoid tomatoes, red and green bell peppers, egg plant, and really any pepper of any kind. I know it stinks, but I am nightshade sensitive and I am VERY SORRY when I eat them. The more processed, the worse, easier for your body to assimilate, I guess? If you are sensitive to these plants, you may notice joint pain shortly after eating them.

Best of luck all my fellow sufferers!

Hysterectomy will not help! I have had migraines off and on since my early 30s. When I entered peri-menopause they lessened to a couple a year. Since my hysterectomy, I am having them every other week or so now. And as for calling them non life threatening, migraines cause brain damage, so let's take them seriously!!!

Good Luck,
fellow sufferer, Jackie

It's really hard to find a doctor to truly listen. If you feel you are not being taken seriously, I would switch. Keep looking until you do find one. Do you have a primary doctor that you trust that can refer you to a neurologist that understands your concerns? Sometimes just talking to others is a good start. It's amazing how many other women especially suffer from migraines and you didn't know it. They may have good recommendations for you as far as who to go to. I'd also look online for headache clinics. A lot of times the evaluations are free.

I usually try to avoid things that create tension but as a college student, there's no avoiding stress. I usually take pain killers as soon as I feel a twinge coming on. Another couple things I've noticed is crying temporarily relieves the pressure but after I stop crying, the pressure is back and then some. Fresh air however does wonders sometimes. If it gets bad enough that I can't seem to get rid of it, but not bad enough that I'm vomiting I like to lay out in a chair on the porch(this is only at home in the country, I do not recommend this in noisy polluted cities like my college) with my eyes closed and just focus on breathing. I don't know if these things work for anyone else but I would like to think that this is helpful. I don't know if my migraines are hormonal and my last doctor didn't really listen and prescribed some pain killers that did nothing for me, is there anything I can tell a doctor that will make them take me seriously?
