UPDATE: Fox will repeat the episode Friday at 9 p.m. EST. for those of you that missed all of it or just the end.
I may be the only creature on the planet that doesn’t watch Glee, (and I guess I have enough self confidence to admit it, lol) but that was AWESOME! All those young actors – is that them really singing? Gosh…they are better than anyone on AI right now. lol. (Of course, I guess this young Glee cast doesn’t need a break into the business anymore. lol)
@Laura@OurHouseOfJoyfulNoise: Laura, I bought the Season 1 DVD of Glee and got all caught up and after seeing the talent of these kids, I pretty much got hooked. They are just adorable. There’s a kid that everyone can identify with I think. Even though they characterize the group as a band of misfits, they really are just a motley group of teens. The writing is edgy, pushes the envelope a little, but is real and relevant, and highly addictive.
AI this year has fell flat. Last night, I tuned in at 8:50 only to find that it had again run late. So I muted it and let it wind down until the results were shown. Then click. I had no interest otherwise. I would have loved a 2.5 hour Glee special though. These kids can really sing! Man! I’ll have to pick up the DVD.
And circling back a little, there are some important life lessons taught in this show. It’s TV for teens+, for sure, but I think it’s a job well done.
