A make-shift green house for the dwarf citrus trees.

[K] changed out all the windows in the house and had the ingenious idea to use the cast-asides to build this little hot house for the dwarf citrus trees for the winter. Eventually, we’d like to have a large greenhouse but this will do until then. He’s put a little ceramic heater in there to keep it warm enough in the winter. There simply isn’t room in the house to keep these all winter so this will hopefully do the trick.

And although we don’t anticipate these young trees to bear any fruit for the next year or 2, we actually have a tiny little lime growing. Just large enough to quarter and enjoy with 4 Coronas.

Here’s the cute little structure. It sits behind the red barn.

  1. That was a great idea! IMpressive! I can’t wait to see how it does through the winter.
Now let me know when you crack open the Coronas, ya hear? ; )
